Overall, 31 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 19 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, , , M&M, Cipla and were among top gainers, while , , Infosys, and TCS traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 189.65 points down at 58584.22 at 11:21AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in IT - Hardware, Telecommunications, Miscellaneous, Tea / Coffee and Glass sectors, while selling was visible in Metals - Ferrous, Term Lending Institutions, Gas & Petroleum, Auto Ancillaries and Power sectors.
