ADG Varanasi Zone's Twitter account breached

LUCKNOW: The official and verified Twitter handle of ADG Varanasi Zone of UP police (@adgzonevaranasi) was breached on Tuesday. The handle has around 1 lakh followers.
Earlier, this year also a similar breach in the official Twitter account of the chief minister’s office, and the official handles of the Uttar Pradesh government (@UPGovt) and the information department’s fact-checker (@InfoUPFactCheck) had taken place.

"FIR is being registered and efforts are on to restore the account," said Ram Kumar ADG, Varanasi Zone.
The hackers along with deleting the profile picture also made a post related to an online game that has been retweeted.
Police said the account seemed to have been hacked around 12.30am on Tuesday.
