Adani Power(down 4.99%), ADANIGREEN(down 4.24%), Indowind Energy(down 3.42%), Inox Wind Energy(down 2.59%), Reliance Power(down 1.60%), CESC(down 1.39%), Alstom T&D India(down 1.13%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 0.88%), Torrent Power(down 0.46%) and Jyoti Structures(down 0.32%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 86.8 points up at 17577.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 257.43 points at 59031.3.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 3.78%), Eicher Motors(up 3.02%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.72%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.59%), Tata Steel(up 2.43%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.25%), Coal India(up 2.08%), State Bank of India(up 2.07%), Grasim Industries(up 2.0%) and UPL Ltd(up 1.99%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Infosys(down 2.11%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.09%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.35%), HCL Technologies(down 1.31%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.29%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.19%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.92%), Wipro(down 0.8%), HDFC Bank(down 0.31%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 0.19%) closed in the red.
