Odisha: ED raids Sarda mines premises

BHUBANESWAR/KEONJHAR:The enforcement directorate (ED) on Monday conducted simultaneous search operations on the premises of Sarda mines private limited (SMPL) at six places in the country, including Keonjhar district in Odisha.
The raids were conducted in connection with a money laundering case registered against the SMPL in Delhi. "We conducted search operations at four places in Barbil of Keonjhar district and one place each in Delhi and Gurgaon. The investigation is in progress," an ED official said without divulging details of the raid's outcome.
Sources said the ED raided the offices and residences of two directors of the SMPL in Barbil.
