Jaipur: JMC-Greater mayor Somya Gurjar and commissioner Mahendra Soni on Monday inspected the lumpy care centre at Hingonia Gaushala here and instructed officials to ensure regular fogging at the cow shelter and give immunity boosters to the cattle to curb spread of the viral disease.
Gurjar inquired about the efforts being made to save cows from Lumpy skin disease at the shelter and how the animals are being isolated and treated.
Soni directed the officials to ensure that continuous fogging should be done and cleanliness should be strengthened, as well as immunity boosters prescribed by the animal husbandry department should be given to the cows so that their immunity could be increased.
Dr Rajendra Meena, senior veterinary officer, said at present there are 14,500 cows at the Hingonia Gaushala. A total of 592 cows were infected of which 538 cows have recovered and 41 cows are undergoing treatment.
