Active Covid caseload up at 1,081

Panaji: With 177 Covid infections reported on Tuesday, the active caseload increased to 1,081 while the single-day case positivity rate dropped to 12.1% as against 14.1% recorded on Monday.
During the day, 102 people recovered, and the positivity rate stood at 98%. Over the past 24 hours, four patients had to be hospitalised.
No fatalities were reported during the day.
Over the last few days, the average of Covid infections ranged between 100 and 120 cases a day. On a few days, a big jump was recorded, as was seen on Tuesday.
Health services have appealed to people that they should get tested even if they report mild symptoms, and take precaution while visiting public places.
