
Guwahati: BJP's tribal leader in Autonomous District Council (ADC) Hangsa Tripura joined 'Tipra Motha' party on Tuesday.
Along with Hangsa Tripura altogether 6500 voters belonging to 3000 families also joined ‘Tipra Motha’ by accepting party flags from the ‘Motha’ supremo Pradyot Kishore. Tipra Motha is a regional party.
Hangsa Tripura said that Tipra Motha’ is the only party that is working for tribals and will ensure the optimum level of socio-economic development of the backward tribal community.
Tripura is going to assembly polls next year. Hangsa along with nine others made to council in the year 2021.
He was opposition leader in the 28-member council. BJP president J P Nadda is likely to visit the state shortly.
