Jaipur: A team of Dungarpur police arrived here and visited the house of the state bureau chief of a TV channel in connection to a case registered against anchor Aman Chopra of the same organisation for allegedly hurting religious sentiments and other charges in his programme aired on April 22.
Since Singh was not present at his house, police team asked the family to request him to appear before police for questioning. People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) has strongly condemned the act of Dungarpur police and termed it a “clear harassment of the journalist”.
A team led by Surendra Solanki, station office officer of Kotwali police station who is investigating the case, arrived at the house of journalist Bhawani Singh at his residence in Jaipur. “I have given my number to his wife and asked her to inform him to report to us for investigation,” said Solanki while talking to TOI.
