Hubballi: The Dharwad education department has made a master plan to strengthen the Subject Teachers' Forum (STF) to improve SSLC results in the district.
The schedule has already been prepared for this.
Forum meetings will be held in a different taluk every Saturday and will be the platform to share the professional experience of subject teachers. Subject-wise, the workshop is conducted across all taluks. Recently, meetings of Kannada, Hindi and science subject teachers’ forums were organised.
The forum will provide answers to all questions about lesson plans, blueprints, model teaching and difficult teaching in any subject from a variety of education experts and resource people. The education department has the forum in all taluks
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Subject Teachers' Forum meetings were held online. However, now that all activities are smoothly happening on campus, the education department has geared up to conduct the forum.
The District Institute Of Education & Training and education department have selected 90 resource persons to organise the meetings.
The department conducted a meeting on July 13 in the presence of the DDPI, BEOs, EOs and DIET officials to conduct the forum successfully in all taluks.
The monitoring committee was also formed for observation of the forum.
The district-level Kannada language subject teachers’ forum was organised in Hubballi on August 12.

Dharwad education officer Suresh Huggi said the forum will be conducted every Saturday in all taluks. The platform is for all teachers to clear their doubts, and discussion on subject topics, teaching difficulties and other problems.
Dharwad education officer Ravikumar Baratakke said: “We held a meeting in at DIET, Dharwad. A detailed programme list has been made.”
Kannada subject inspector Poornima Munkundi said in the forum all subject teachers will be gathered and will discuss various topics such as subject-related doubts etc.
Workshops on each subject will be done four times a year.
