KANPUR: Kanpur Metro came to a halt on Monday morning after it developed a technical snag. It was for half an hour between 7:30 and 8 am that one of the metro trains while heading towards
IIT Kanpur from Moti Jheel station came to a standstill. The train did not operate and remained halted at Geeta Nagar station.
It was then headed to IIT-Kanpur Metro station where the troubleshooting was done to let the metro train run as usual. DGM, Public Relations, Kanpur/Agra (UPMRC), Panchanan Mishra said that the metro operation got affected for half an hour on Monday morning.
Sources said that there was some problem in the wiring. When the snag could not be fixed at the spot, the train was headed to IIT-Kanpur Metro station. The situation thereafter, normalised and the metro services became fully operational.tnn
