Gurugram: 23-year-old held for raping minor

GURUGRAM: A 23-year-old man was arrested and sent to judicial custody on Monday for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in Sohna, police said.
Police said that accused, Sahil alias Nitu, lured the minor with candies to his house, where he raped her.
The minor's mother told police that the accused had repeatedly raped her minor daughter.
The incident came to the mother's attention on August 15 when she had gone to her mother's house, leaving her daughter with the paternal grandmother.
The minor, unaware of what transpired with her, told her mother that Sahil offered her candies at his house. "If she would feel uncomfortable or start crying, he would give candies and pacify her," the mother told cops.
Police registered an FIR against the accused under relevant sections of the Pocso Act at the Sohna police station.
