Pune: Trio snatch gold chain worth Rs 1 lakh

PUNE: Three men on a bike snatched a gold chain worth Rs 1 lakh from a decoration firm’s manager on Laxmi Road around 1.30am on Saturday after spraying some liquid into the victim’s face and eyes.
Kothrud resident Sunil Kumbhar (30) said after Friday midnight when Dahi Handi celebrations wound up, Kumbhar finished packing them up and was walking towards his car when the bike-borne trio came close to him.
One of the pillion riders pulled sprayed some liquid into Kumbhar’s face and eyes. While he was struggling to see, another man snatched his gold chain and the trio fled, police added.
The Vishrambaug police have registered a case.
