Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 1.75% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 11:10AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

AU Small Finance Bank(up 0.24 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.75 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 2.45 per cent), IDFCBANK(down 2.13 per cent), Axis Bank(down 2.11 per cent) and ICICI Bank(down 1.94 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was down 1.75 per cent at 38302.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 211.85 points at 17546.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 678.48 points at 58967.67.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 4 were trading in the green, while 46 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., , , and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , DB Corp., , and Mangalam Global Ent hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Agni Green ., Swaraj Suiting Ltd., Debock Sales & Mktg, and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
