NEW DELHI: Shares of , DB Corp., , and , hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 267.75 points down at 17490.7 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as , , , Debock Sales & Mktg and Agni Green Power Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 5 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 45 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Consumer, ITC, , and were among top gainers during the day, while , , , and ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 872.28 points down at 58773.87.

Traders piled up positions in Tea / Coffee, Telecommunications, Paper, Electric/Electronics and Glass sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Term Lending Institutions, Gas & Petroleum, Auto Ancillaries and Pharmaceuticals sectors during the day.
