Uttar Pradesh: Hamipur lawyer arrested for 'stalking' woman judge

LUCKNOW: Hamirpur advocate Mohammed Haroon, who was accused by woman judge of 'voyeurism' and stalking, was arrested by police on Monday.
The judge in Hamirpur court on Saturday had lodged an FIR against the lawyer accusing him of 'voyeurism' and stalking.

Anoop Kumar, Additional SP, Hamirpur, said that lawyer Mohammed Haroon was arrested and was being produced in the local court.
The judge in her FIR had said she had joined the court recently. In the fourth week of July (18-24), she noticed that the accused advocate was ogling at her through a window slit and also when she was walking out of her chamber. "It happened twice that week," she had stated in the FIR.
She had also alleged that accused would stalk, and also appear in her courtroom even when there was no matter listed and would sit for hours.
Further narrating a similar sequence of events, the victim judge had stated that on August 18, the accused had come towards her and mumbled something.
"But I kept walking and got a whiff of liquor smell coming off him. I filmed him turning towards me and then walking to-and-fro at the same place, waiting for me to walk again. Thereafter, I decided to speak to senior judges and lodge an FIR," she had said in her complaint.
