Karnataka: Duo booked for hoisting tricolour upside down

DHARWAD: Kalaghatagi police have registered a case against a physical education teacher and the president of the school development management committee (SDMC) in Mukkal village of Kalaghatagi taluk for hoisting the national flag upside down on the occasion of Independence Day.
Physical education teacher Prakash Kumbar and president of the SDMC of Dr BR Ambedkar High School, Lingaraddi Naduvinamani, have been accused of violating the flag code. On Independence Day, the national flag was found to be hoisted upside down, and this had drawn flak from people.
