GURUGRAM: After receiving multiple complaints from the teachers, the education department has extended the last date to August 22 for filling the details for rationalisation of vacant posts in all government schools across the state.
According to the department officials, there have been complaints about the glitches and anomalies encountered on the online portal, Sugam Sampark Portal. All the district education officials have been directed to address such complaints.
"We have received a few complaints about the online transfer process. There are glitches on the service portal, which have impacted the overall process. We have extended the deadline for the submission of the school preferences till August 22," said an education department official on Friday.
The education department has rolled out an online transfer drive for teachers to address the issue of a shortage of teachers in various government schools across the state. Under this drive, the teachers have been asked to submit their service and personal profile, as well as their school preferences.
Few teachers, particularly in Nuh, have also complained that the option for choosing the posts in certain schools is not available.
"In several areas like Nuh, even though there's a vacancy in schools, teachers are not being able to select the post. At Senior Secondary School in Ghaghas, there are over 10 posts to be filled. Parents have also raised the issue and asked the department to fix this," said Vinod Kaushik, a government school teacher in Nuh.
The department, however, has assured the teachers that it is looking into the matter. In case the portal is closed and an appointment is allotted, teachers will still get a 15-day period to submit their grievances and urge reconsideration.
"All the grievances are looked into and will be accordingly disposed of before the outcome of the transfer drive. Even after the issuance of the transfer orders, the teachers will be able to lodge their complaint on the Sugam Sampark Portal within 15 days," read the letter issued by the department.
