Your can sleep better, Chennai to get evening/night showers

CHENNAI: The city is likely to get showers in the evening or night in the coming days bringing some respite from the warm nights. However, the days will be hot and uncomfortable with temperature hovering between 35 degrees C and 36 degrees C.
A met department forecast said that the sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy.
"Light rain is likely to occur in some areas," it said. The forecast for the next four days showed that the city may get light rain in the evening or night mid next week also.
A met department official said that the light rain is forecast because of the presence of a windshear in westerlies.
The city and its suburbs received sudden showers on Wednesday night and early morning on Thursday.
Different parts of the city and its surrounding regions like Tiruvallur, Sriperumbudur and Chembarambakkam received nearly 2cm of rain. However, there was not much rain on Friday and Saturday, making the nights warmer again. At night, the temperature has been hovering around 29 degrees C. "The nights are warm because it's cloudy and the day time temperature is also high. There was no rain in the surrounding areas of the city which would have brought down the temperature," said the official. The forecast for the next 24 hours shows that the minimum temperature will be around 29 degrees C.
The night temperature is usually in the range of 24 degrees C to 25 degrees C.
