Mega vaccination drive today

Coimbatore: The health department will conduct the 34th mega Covid vaccination drive at 1,529 places across the district on Sunday. As many as 1,081 camps will be held in rural areas, 339 in the corporation limit and the rest in municipality areas.
As of Saturday, the department has vaccinated 28,88,241 beneficiaries and 26,46,998 beneficiaries with the first and second doses respectively. In the 15-18 age category, 1,40,239 and 1,10,400 people received first and second doses. In the 12-14 age group, 90,250 and 62,610 children were inoculated with first and second doses. Deputy director of health services Dr P Aruna urged beneficiaries, who are due for vaccination, to get inoculated on Sunday. For details of vaccination centres, visit www.coimbatore.nic.in.
In Tirupur, the health department will conduct the camps at 1,341 places.TNN
