LUCKNOW: As an unique gift to pilgrims in particular and rail passengers, railway administration is going to introduce a totally modified new rail bus between
Mathura and
Vrindavan.
Mechanical Workshop, Izzatnagar of North Eastern Railway has introduced a rail bus modifying meter gauge coach at a cost of Rs 4.17 crore for Mathura-Vrindavan M.G. rail section of Agra division of North Central Railway (NCR) as per direction of Railway board.
This new rail bus would replace the old rail bus plying on this section and it has various modern and passenger-friendly features such as a powerful engine of 320 HP in place of 180 HP.
It is equipped with sound insulation engine canopy resulting in 25 decible less noise. Comfortable cushioned seats, stainless steel body paneling. Aluminium checkered floor. Mobile and laptop chargers are also available.
Further, a passenger address sound system alongwith music system for passengers’ entertainment. CCTV too has been provided with modern LCD display and control system has been made available for the driver.
The rail bus has eye catching attractive vinyl films based on religious culture of Mathura-Vrindavan on the inner and outer sides.
