Shettar speaks against egg attack & ex-CM

Hubballi: Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar has said: “We condemn the egg attack on former CM Siddaramaiah. We also suggest that he learn about the contribution of Veer Savarkar to the freedom struggle properly.”
Shettar said on Friday that one should not take the law into their hands. “The government will act against the egg throwers. However, Siddaramaiah should stop criticising Savarkar just to woo the minority community. His blind love towards a particular community has made him make false statements on Savarkar. He should study history to know Savarkar had fought against the British and he was punished by them,” he said.
“Siddaramaiah should learn how to comment on national leaders. As the Congress is losing its existence, he is making provocative statements for political mileage,” Shettar said.
The former chief minister said: “Siddaramaiah should remember that Karnataka people won’t support such falsehoods.” TNN
