BJP leader Bharat Bhushan killed by miscreants in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana police has booked unidentified miscreants after they attacked a BJP leader of Shivpuri area and his son who later died on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Bharat Bhushan of Shivpuri area worked as hosiery trader as well.
Police officials said that after the Janmashtami, Bharat Bhushan was at home when eight to ten miscreants, many of whom were allegedly in intoxicated state, came outside his house near Tutiyan Wala Temple of Shivpuri area. They added that the deceased told them not to create ruckus and go away.
Cops said that the miscreants went to some distance and started indulging in hooliganism to which Bharat Bhushan objected. They added that the miscreants then manhandled the deceased and in the meanwhile his son Raj Kumar also reached there.
Police officials said that the miscreants then hit Raj Kumar in his head and on seeing that his father fell on the ground. They added that after seeing him falling down and as his son raised alarm, the people in the neighbourhood started gathering at the spot after which the miscreants fled from there.
Cops said that the family and area residents took Bharat Bhushan to a hospital in Daresi area and seeing his serious condition the doctors referred him to DMCH. They added that doctors there declared him brought dead.
