Berhampur: Berhampur University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) here on Friday for scientific and educational cooperation.
The MoU was signed between vice-chancellor Geetanjali Dash and ITI principal Rajat Kumar Panigrahy on the university campus. According to the MoU, the two institutes will exchange practical skill, knowledge, academic information and materials, joint research activities on advanced technology, organising seminars and workshops and utilization of instrumentation facilities of the university for technical skill.
Besides, the university will also allow ITI students to participate in its add-on and value-added courses, to do internship and get hands-on training at the innovation-cum-incubation centre.
Similarly, the university students will utilize design thinking, use of renewal energy and others in the laboratories of the ITI for an add-on skill. The ITI will also share knowledge with the university students to develop the waste to wealth concept. “With the MoU, the university students and faculty will learn how to best use waste materials as well as practical skill,” said the VC.
