Nifty continues to climb a wall of worry as it looks to be in the final leg of its rally before heading for a correction.
NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed lower in the Friday's session.

Dangee Dums(up 8.45%), Prataap Snacks(up 5.40%), Emami(up 4.37%), DFM Foods(up 2.12%), Heritage Foods(up 1.60%), Hindustan Foods(up 1.34%), Marico(up 0.52%), P & G Hygiene(up 0.27%) and Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 0.07%) stood among the top gainers.

Varun Beverages(down 5.07%), Dodla Dairy(down 4.47%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 2.90%), Future Consumer(down 2.78%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.59%), Zydus Wellness(down 1.94%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.77%), Parag Milk(down 1.66%), Umang Dairies(down 1.60%) and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.42%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 198.05 points down at 17758.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 651.85 points at 59646.15.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 4.65%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.19%), Infosys(up 0.89%), Eicher Motors(up 0.37%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.34%) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.13%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 3.78%), Enterprises(down 3.08%), Bajaj Finserv(down 3.08%), Tata Motors(down 2.85%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.59%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.54%), Bajaj Finance(down 2.49%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.44%), Hero MotoCorp(down 2.39%) and State Bank of India(down 2.25%) closed in the red.
