Ranbir Kapoor's Shamshera has premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The movie features Sanjay Dutt, ‎Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Ronit Bose Roy as pivotal characters. Yash Raj Films produced the movie, and Karan Malhotra is the director.

Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Shamshera was released on Amazon Prime Video today. Shamshera is the fourth Yash Raj Film to be released on Prime Video owing to the deal between the two. Earlier, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Samrat Prithviraj, and Bunty Aur Babli 2 premiered on the digital platform. The action film is a mass entertainer and shows Ranbir Kapoor playing a double role. He plays the role of Balli and his father, Shamshera.

The movie revolves around a fictitious city called Kaza, a warrior tribe. Shudh Singh tortures, enslaves, and imprisons this warrior tribe. Shamshera is this tribe's legend and fights relentlessly to free them from torture and provide them a life of dignity and freedom. Ranbir Kapoor will return on the silver screen after almost four years of going MIA. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the period drama action film, 'Shamshera', is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films and is all set to release on Friday (July 22, 2022).



The movie bombed at the box office and received mixed reviews and reactions from the audience and critics. Ranbir Kapoor gave an interview and was asked about his mental space after returning to movies after four years.

He said that it was a very different feeling personally as it was something he had not experienced before. He cannot compare his personal and private life, he said. Talking about Shamshera, he said there is a lot of excitement, anxiety, and nervousness.
