Leaders react to CBI raids at Manish Sisodia’s residence

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 19 conducted raids at multiple locations across several states including Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's residence, in connection with Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. Several leaders including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Kapil Sibal have reacted to the raids. "We welcome CBI and will cooperate fully but nothing with come out," tweeted Kejriwal. He further referred to NYT front page article and said, "The day when Delhi's education was praised on NYT's first page, CBI was sent to his home on same day." Similarly, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann tweeted, "Manish Sisodia is the best education minister of independent India." Reacting to the raid, Kapil Sibal tweeted, "Now that Arvind Kejriwal is on rise, time for BJP to destabilise it."
