Theft at executive’s home in Dadri: 23-year-old man arrested

NOIDA: 23-year-old man arrested for allegedly breaking into houses in the Dadri area on Thursday. The accused had recently carried out theft at a house owned by a DGM of a private company in the Zu-II housing complex.
“On August 12, a house theft was reported at Dadri police station by a DGM of a private company. The family had gone to a relative’s place to celebrate Raksha Bandhan when the accused ransacked the house,” said Vishal Pandey, additional deputy commissioner of police, Greater Noida.
According to police, the accused, identified as Abid Khan, is a resident of the Hapur district. He worked as a plumber at housing societies in the Dadri area, which helped him to know which house is empty. He used to enter the house by breaking window panes.
Around Rs 25,000 cash along with gold and silver jewelleries have been recovered from the accused’s possession. An FIR has been lodged under sections 454 (Lurking house-trespass or house-breaking to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) and 380 (Commits theft in any building) of IPC.
