The mortal remains of Lance Naik Chandrashekhar Harbola reached his home in Haldwani. The mortal remains were kept at his home for 10 minutes for his wife and two daughters to pay their last tribute. It was then taken to a common spot where hundreds of people, including CM Pushkar Singh Dhami along with some cabinet ministers, paid their last respects. The remains were to reach on Tuesday but there was a delay due to inclement weather in Leh. Lance Naik Chandrashekhar's mortal remains were recovered by the Indian Army after 38 years and were buried in snow in Siachen. He went missing in Siachen during a patrolling mission with 19 other army personnel in 1984.
