PRAYAGRAJ: An impressive programme to mark Independence Day was organised in the Allahabad High Court on Monday. Supreme Court Judge,
Justice Krishna Murari, Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, Justice Rajesh Bindal and other high court judges graced the occasion.
Earlier, Chief Justice Bindal hoisted the national flag after which the national anthem was sung. Thereafter, the Chief Justice and other judges offered floral tribute to the father of the nation,
Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, CRPF and police contingent presented the guard of honour. Subsequently, the CRPF band performed musical renditions.
To mark the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava, the entire high court premises was decorated with the lights of tricolour. Besides, the high court premises remained open for the common public from August 12 to August 15 between 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The enthusiasm was visible in the general public flocking the premises of the high court on the eve of independence day.
In addition to it, selfie points were made for the younger generation within the high court lawns. For those who could not attend and for posterity, the programme was broadcast live on YouTube.
