West Bengal: Drunk goons thrash doctor in Howrah

HOWRAH: A doctor was allegedly beaten up by a group of inebriated youths at his own house. The incident occurred at Howrah's Dashrath Ghose lane area. A complaint has been lodged at Dasnagar PS.
According to the complaint, the doctor had gone to his Dashrath Ghose Lane house from his Dasnagar house with his father on Monday evening. There he saw some youths allegedly drinking liquor inside the house.
When his father protested, the youths allegedly were about to assault him as the doctor resisted them. The youths then allegedly attacked the doctor with iron rods and hit him on his head.
The doctor's family have demanded the accused be arrested and punished. Dasnagar police is probing the case.
