Stock market update: Mining stocks mixed as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading mixed on Wednesday at 10:24AM

Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 5.00%), 20 Microns(up 2.36%), Pokarna(up 1.43%), Oriental Trimex(up 1.00%), Ashapura Minechem(up 0.92%), KIOCL(up 0.67%) and Aro Granite Industries(up 0.11%) were among the top gainers.

Lexus Granito(down 4.95%), Dvpt Corporation(down 2.03%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.68%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.39%), Coal India(down 0.29%) and MOIL(down 0.09%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 86.2 points up at 17911.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 289.11 points at 60131.32 at around 10:24AM.

Bajaj Finserv(up 2.5%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.45%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.44%), NTPC(up 2.43%), Eicher Motors(up 2.31%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.93%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.79%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.55%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.41%) and Grasim Industries(up 1.39%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.87%), Enterprises(down 0.54%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.36%), Tata Steel(down 0.31%), Coal India(down 0.27%), SBI Life(down 0.24%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.23%), JSW Steel(down 0.23%), State Bank of India(down 0.19%) and Bajaj Auto(down 0.19%) were trading in the red.
