PUNE: The MNGL has decided to slash prices of CNG by Rs 4 per kg in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and it’s adjoining areas from August 17 onwards.
With this, from August 17, the price of one kg of CNG will stand at Rs. 87
Earlier the prices of CNG had been increased by Rs 6 on August 4 and the price presently stands at Rs 91 per kg.
Deepak Sawant, the managing director of the MNGL had said that prices were expected to keep on fluctuating until early next year mainly due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
According to MNGL officials, the reduction was on account of downward revision in the purchase of domestic natural gas. "MNGL has decided to pass on the benefit of reduced gas cost to tue customers," an official said.
