Coronavirus in India: India reports 9,062 new cases and 36 deaths in last 24 hours
India on Wednesday recorded 9,062 fresh Covid-19 infections that took its tally to 4,42,86,256, while the number of active cases came down to 1,05,058, according to Union health ministry data. WHO: Global pandemic treaty draft to be ready in 18 months
The draft for the global pandemic treaty aimed at equitable distribution of vaccines and drugs, data sharing, genome sequencing and related research will be available in the next 18 months as most countries have agreed on it, said World Health Organisation chief scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan.
As on date, almost 12.4 crore booster doses have been administered.
He also asked states and UTs to widely publicise the availability of heterologous precaution dose of Corbevax vaccine and organise vaccination camps at public places such as railway stations, schools/colleges, and religious places to increase the uptake of precaution dose.
