Covid-19 positivity rate stand at 9.6% in Puducherry

PUDUCHERRY: The positivity rate of Covid-19 infection stood at 9.6% on Tuesday in the Union territory of Puducherry.
Of the 209 samples tested on Tuesday, 20 samples returned positive. Sixty-nine patients recovered in the last 24 hours ending at 10am on Tuesday bringing down the number of active cases to 410. Nine of them are undergoing treatment in hospitals while the rest are under home isolation and treatment.
Puducherry headquarters reported the maximum fresh cases with 14 followed by Karaikal (4), Yanam (2). Mahe did not report any fresh Covid-19 cases. Puducherry headquarters has the maximum active cases with 284 followed by Karaikal (86), Yanam (39) and Mahe (1).
The territory did not report any Covid-19 deaths since August 2. The death toll remained at 1,967. The case fatality rate of the infection stood at 1.1%.
