Jaisalmer: On the occasion of Independence Day, strict security arrangements have been made at the Indo-Pak border.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has intensified patrolling to deal with any challenge across the border including threats and suspicious drone activities.
Additional force has been deployed at sensitive areas.
Inspector General of Frontier BSF Rajasthan David Lalrinsanga has reached the international border adjoining Bikaner and is also reviewing the ‘Operation Alert’. In the entire border areas including the fencing, the Indian tricolour can be seen as part of Amrit Mahotsav.
According to senior BSF officials, due to high alert at the international border for Independence Day, BSF has launched ‘Operation Alert’. All jawans and officers from all the branches of BSF have reached the border to strengthen the security arrangements.
Lalrinsanga on Saturday and Sunday visited many border outposts adjoining Bikaner and took stock of the security arrangements and gave necessary directions to remain alert in regard to the Independence Day.
BSF has also increased the foot and camel patrolling at the Jaisalmer border. BSF commandant Satyanand Pande said that BSF, throughout the year, remains alert at the fencing but due to Independence Day, the vigil has been tightened.
