Maha logs 2,082 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths; active count 12,102

Maharashtra reported 2,082 new coronavirus cases and 3 fatalities on Sunday, bringing its total to 80,72,340 and toll to 1,48,171. The number of recoveries jumped to 79,12,067 after 1,824 patients recovered in 24 hours.

Mumbai circle reported 1,352 new cases, according to the government data, followed by Pune with 284, Nagpur with 150, Nashik with 119, Kolhapur with 66, Latur with 46, Akola with 38, and Aurangabad with 27.

According to the data, Mumbai has 5,041 active cases, 2,007 are in Pune, and 1,467 are in Thane.

In all, 8,36,45,813 swab samples were evaluated in the state, 32,134 of which were tested during the previous 24 hours, according to the report.

The official stated that the most recent fatalities were recorded from Mumbai, Pune, and Satara and that there are currently 12,102 active cases in the state.

The results showed that the survival rate is 98.01 percent and the fatality rate is 1.83 percent.
