A 9-year-old Dalit student succumbed to injuries in an Ahmedabad hospital on Saturday after being thrashed by a school teacher at Surana village in Sayla sub-division of Jalore on July 20 for allegedly touching a water pitcher.Jalore police has arrested teacher Chail Singh (40) and filed a case against him. "We have filed a case against Singh under Section 302 of IPC and SC/ST Act," said Jalore SP Harsh Vardhan Agarwalla.
