Mumbai: Ujjwal Nikam is special public prosecutor in 2003 doctor murder

MUMBAI: Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam has been appointed in the 19-year-old brutal murder of obstetrician Asha Goel (62). Nikam received the notification from the state government earlier this week. The case will come for hearing on August 14.
Goel's US-based daughter informed the court the family had applied to the state for Nikam's appointment.
The case was filed at Malabar Hill police station on August 23, 2003, by Sureshchandra Agrawal, brother of the victim. It emerged that Goel was in India to sort out a property dispute between her brothers.tnn
