A fistful of salt by the seaside at Dandi became an ocean’s roar of resistance. Green rice fields at Champaran became battle grounds of satyagraha. Many such small places etched their place in history by playing an integral part in India’s non-violent struggle for independence until finally the Tricolour was hoisted at Red Fort on August 15, 1947.
