5 sentenced persons released from district jail

Kanpur: Five sentenced persons breathed in fresh air outside the district jail on Saturday when ‘Aparadh Mukt Samaji Chikitsa Samiti’ paid their fine and deposited the receipts at the jail office.
The five sentenced persons were Israr, Satyendra,Rahul Kumar, Vedpal and Abdul .They are serving another term of sentence as they failed to pay the fine. On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava Ashutosh Bajpai, president of the Chikitsa Samiti, deposited the fine amount in National Lok Adalat and presented the receipts before the jail authorities. Thereafter they were released from the jail. According to BD Pandey jail superintendent one national flag to each of them was given to hoist the tricolour at their houses.
Earlier District judge Mayank Kumar Jain, Arvind kumar Mishra judicial official of family court, Ajay Kumar Tripathi ADJ first, Susheel Kumar Singh secretary District Legal Service Authority visited the district jail and organized a legal awareness camp there . The secretary apprised the jail inmates about their legal rights, facilities and their right to file an appeal against the sentence and availability of an advocate free of cost to them.
Anupama Jain, convener of Agrawal Lohia Jain Parishad presented 5 pieces of wheelchair and 4 pieces of walkers for physically challenged under trials .The district judge Mayank Kumar Jain also presented 2 stretchers and 4 walking sticks on behalf of DLSA.
