Delhi: MP Manoj Tiwari hands over Rs 5 lakh cheque to wrestler Divya Kakran

NEW DELHI: BJP’s North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari on Friday gave a Rs 5 lakh reward to Commonwealth Games medallist wrestler Divya Kakran.
Kakran, who won a bronze medal in recently concluded Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, lives in Gokulpuri area of northeast Delhi, which is part of Tiwari’s parliamentary constituency. She tied a Rakhi to Tiwari who pledged to extend all support to her.
“Like a brother, I will extend her all the support to make her shine and excel in her field,” Tiwari said after rewarding Kakran at her home.
