Stray bullet hits 13-year-old girl in Amravati

AMRAVATI: A 13-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet in her leg at around 4pm in Pathan Chowk locality in Amravati city on Friday. Sources in Nagpuri Gate police said that some assailants attacked a youth Ahmad Khan with a sword and a knife. Khan fired at them but bullet instead hit the girl, identified as Sadaf Parveen Naushad Quereshi, a resident of Hyderpura, who was passing by. Khan fled the spot. The girl is admitted to a private hospital.
