Mumbai: Two drown in Bandra, one body recovered

MUMBAI: Two persons drowned in the sea at SV Road and Bandra Worli Sea Link Road junction in Bandra (West) late on Thursday. The body of 28-year-old Javed Alam Shaikh was recovered by fire officials in the early hours of Friday.
“It was learned from the public that one male dead body, Javed Alam Shaikh, aged about 28 years was floating in creek near reclamation flyover bridge. The body was removed and handed over to local police,” said an official.
The fire brigade said the incident was designated as a level 1 disaster. It was reported at around 11.30pm on Thursday night. Police officials said further investigation and search operations to find the second person was under way.
