Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Friday at 10:35AM

Simbhaoli Sugars(up 3.45%), BAJAJHIND(up 2.37%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(up 2.25%), Sakthi Sugars(up 1.57%), & Chemicals(up 1.21%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 1.17%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 1.15%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 1.15%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 1.08%) and & Industries(up 0.77%) were among the top gainers.

Ugar Sugar Works(down 1.93%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 0.09%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 13.1 points up at 17672.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 28.85 points at 59361.45 at around 10:35AM.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.39%), Tata Steel(up 2.15%), NTPC(up 2.02%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.48%), SBI Life(up 1.46%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.36%), Reliance Industries(up 1.29%), UPL Ltd(up 1.11%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.05%) and Coal India(up 1.01%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 2.96%), Enterprises(down 2.61%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.22%), Infosys(down 0.96%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.9%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.87%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.79%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.73%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.71%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 0.7%) were trading in the red.
