LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested alleged Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) operative Mohammed Nadeem (24) from Saharanpur’s Gangoh area who was assigned the task to eliminate Nupur Sharma, suspended national spokesperson of BJP.
Nupur recently made headlines for comments against Prophet Muhammad. Additional Director General, law and order, Prashant Kumar said that Nadeem was arrested on following specific input. He confessed that he was given the task to eliminate Nupur Sharma.
Kumar also said that the mobile phone of the accused was scanned in which a PDF document was found, titled Explosive Course Fidae Force.
"Apart from this, chats and voice messages from the terrorists of JeM and other terrorist organizations of Pakistan and Afghanistan were also found from the phone of Nadeem, from as long as 2018", said Kumar.
Kumar also said that social mediums like Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Club House were used by Nadeem to keep in touch with the terrorists, while he had more than 30 virtual Numbers.
Kumar also said that JeM terrorists gave training to Nadeem for a fidayeen style attack, which was given by Saifullah from Pakistan via the above mentioned social mediums.
"The training in Explosive Course Fidae Force was also made available through social media, which was read by Nadeem and he was in the process of collecting material related to attack government buildings and police premises," said Kumar.
