People look on as woman stripped & abducted in Madhya Pradesh

INDORE: A tribal woman was stripped on a road in front of villagers, beaten savagely and then abducted on a motorcycle by a group of men in Madhya Pradesh's Jhabua on Thursday. Several people stood and watched the assault, some even took videos, but no one except for her husband and some relatives tried to save her.
It's when one of these videos went viral that police took action and arrested four suspects on Thursday. The horrifying video shows her being stripped as she desperately ran around to save herself, screaming for help. Men with sticks beat her mercilessly while another kickstarted a bike. The attackers tried to force her to sit on the bike but failed repeatedly as she and her kin kept resisting. At one point, she pushed the biker so hard that he fell. Finally, half a dozen men dragged her away and drove off with her on bikes.
Case filed against 6 for abduction
The video prompted police to take action. A team went to the house of the main accused, who claimed to be her lover, rescued her and took her home.
On the complaint of the woman’s husband, a case was registered against six men under IPC sections for molestation, abduction, rioting with armed weapons and voluntarily causing hurt. Four of them, including the main accused, have been arrested.
“During investigation, police found that the woman had left her husband and started living with her paramour. On Wednesday, she returned to her husband. After this, her paramour arrived with his friends and attacked her. The woman and her husband were injured and were taken to hospital for treatment,” said SP Arvind Tiwari.
