ReutersNEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.
Natco Pharma(up 2.18 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 2.05 per cent), Granules India(up 1.79 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 1.26 per cent) and Abbott India(up 1.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Ipca Laboratories(down 8.41 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 2.68 per cent), Biocon(down 1.22 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 0.94 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.83 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.72 per cent at 12920.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 23.65 points at 17682.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 69.6 points at 59402.2.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., Tata Steel, , JP Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of , Ltd., , and KSB hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while 8K Miles Soft, , , Birla Tyres and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
