Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.
State Bank of India(up 1.0 per cent), IndusInd Bank(up 0.29 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.28 per cent), Federal Bank(up 0.22 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.
AU Small Finance Bank(down 1.84 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 0.6 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.51 per cent), Axis Bank(down 0.32 per cent) and HDFC Bank(down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.09 per cent at 38845.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.95 points at 17674.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 40.01 points at 59372.61.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., Tata Steel, , JP Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of , , , Ltd. and KSB hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while 8K Miles Soft, , , Birla Tyres and Vipul Ltd hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
