Suzlon Energy(up 4.05%), Inox wind(up 3.11%), Torrent Power(up 2.69%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 1.82%), Indowind Energy(up 1.69%), Adani Transmissions(up 1.68%), PTC India(up 1.29%), Inox Wind Energy(up 0.97%), Adani Power(up 0.78%) and Kalpataru Power Transmission(up 0.73%) stood among the top gainers.
Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 5.42%), Reliance Power(down 3.89%), Hitachi Energy India(down 3.02%), NLC India(down 2.29%), Orient Green Power Company(down 1.57%), Jyoti Structures(down 1.54%), NTPC(down 1.35%), KPI Green Energy(down 1.20%), Energy Development Company(down 1.19%) and KEC International(down 1.16%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 124.25 points up at 17659.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 515.31 points at 59332.6.
Axis Bank(up 2.69%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.37%), HDFC(up 2.36%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.09%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.03%), State Bank of India(up 1.95%), Wipro(up 1.93%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.59%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.51%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.38%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.16%), Enterprises(down 1.94%), ITC(down 1.59%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.5%), NTPC(down 1.35%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.1%), SBI Life(down 0.92%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.76%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.75%) and Maruti Suzuki(down 0.74%) closed in the red.
