Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:14AM

Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(up 2.42%), EID Parry(up 2.41%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 2.17%), Sakthi Sugars(up 1.92%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 1.89%), BAJAJHIND(up 1.89%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 1.80%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(up 1.75%), Ugar Sugar Works(up 1.65%) and & Industries(up 1.46%) were among the top gainers.

Simbhaoli Sugars(down 1.03%), & Chemicals(down 0.45%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 0.09%) and Mawana Sugars(down 0.06%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 145.35 points up at 17680.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 541.56 points at 59358.85 at around 10:14AM.

Eicher Motors(up 2.72%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.39%), Axis Bank(up 2.02%), Wipro(up 1.87%), ICICI Bank(up 1.8%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.64%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.57%), State Bank of India(up 1.5%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.48%) and Bajaj Finance(up 1.46%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.81%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.63%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.61%), Enterprises(down 0.51%), NTPC(down 0.42%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.33%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.22%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.02%) were trading in the red.
